Thursday, April 20 - “Bloomfield in the News”
Bill Davis will start the program year on Thursday, April 20 with “Bloomfield in the News”, a follow-up to last year's program on East Bloomfield history, as seen in the newspapers of the day. He spent many hours researching online newspaper archives and have (so far) amassed a collection of over 4,000 clippings of news articles, photos and advertisements referencing East Bloomfield and Holcomb, from 1802 to1976, and covering everything from school and church happenings to crimes, fires, accidents and agriculture. He'll present a varied cross-section of these clippings, ranging from mundane to murderous, from sanguine to salacious.
Program begins at 7 P.M. Refreshments served.
Thursday, May 18
Our May 18th program has not been confirmed as of this writing, but any one of the three options we are pursuing (Fire trucks, air guns and old photos) will make a great presentation!
Program begins at 7 P.M. Refreshments served.
Thursday, June 15th - "Oakmount Sanitorium"
East Bloomfield Historian Judi Stewart will present a program on the Oakmount Sanitorium, the first TB Hospital in New York State. She has done years of exhaustive research into the tuberculosis hospital and has compiled a comprehensive body of information. Please join us for what promises to be an especially interesting and informative evening.

Car Show and Parade
Don't forget our 3rd annual Car and Motorcycle Show and Parade. The parade starts at Elton Park at 10:30 am and winds the way to Veterans Park for the car and motorcycle show. This year we will be presenting over 30 trophies and awards to the top winners in multiply categories. Shop over 20 vendors while listening to music and munching on food by the Rotary and Lions Clubs. See you there!
